Regarded as the greatest downhill racer of all time, South African Greg Minnaar has spent over two decades at the top of the sport. His journey there started at age four, racing BMX, and it was followed by another 11 years racing motocross.

He discovered mountain biking around the age of 15, entered the thick of World Cup racing at age 16, and by the age of 20 he had put his stamp on the world of elite downhill racing by taking the overall series title in 2001.

In 2008 he joined the Santa Cruz Syndicate and started what would become one of the most successful relationships in World Cup history. Greg makes elite racing look like just another day in the office. Make no mistake - riding this fast, this effortlessly, this consistently is unparalleled anywhere else on the circuit.

That’s why he’s a four-time World Champion (in 2003, 2012, 2013, and 2021) and the only male racer with 22 World Cup DH race wins to his name. But this tall South African hunts only the biggest game and won’t stop until he’s on that top step again. Still hitting the podium in 2022, Greg is the G.O.A.T. whose reign shows no signs of end.
